How To Get To The Resort

The nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. There are many frequent flights to Dehradun from Delhi and other major cities with flight times ranging from 50 minutes to 5 hours depending on your starting point.
Nayar Valley Retreat is at a distance of ~120 kms/3.5 hours from the Jolly Grant airport. Cabs are easily available outside the airport which can be hired to reach Nayar Valley Retreat, alternatively you can send us your flight details and we can arrange for a pickup.
It is advisable to book flights that arrive early in the day so that you can reach the retreat at a convenient time in the day and return flights in the afternoon so that you can reach the airport well in time after having a relaxed breakfast/brunch.
By Train
Nayar Valley Retreat is 61 km away from Kotdwar – which is the nearest Railway Station. Kotdwar is well connected by the railway network with major cities of India as it is the gateway to the hills of the Garhwal region.
There are regular trains running from major destinations in North India to Kotdwara. (two daily trains run from Delhi to Kotdwara and back (Mussoorie Express and Garhwal Express).
After alighting at the Kotdwara railway station, cabs are easily available outside the station which can be hired to reach Nayar Valley Retreat, alternatively you can send us your train details and we can arrange for a pickup.
From Kotdwar the cab will take the following route: Kotdwara-Dugadda-Gumkhal-Satpuli-Seela-Banghat (Nayar Valley Retreat is located here). It takes approximately 2 hours by cab to reach Nayar Valley Retreat.
By Car
From Delhi, Nayar Valley Retreat is at a distance of ~279 – 353 kms and takes approximately between 7-9 hours to reach by road depending on which route you choose to take. There are two routes to reach Nayar Valley Retreat from Delhi – one through Kotdwar and another through Rishikesh/Devprayag. An early morning start from Delhi is preferable to avoid rush hour traffic especially while exiting Delhi and surrounding suburbs/towns.
Route-1: Delhi to Nayar Valley Retreat Via Kotdwar ~ 279 kms Kotdwar is well connected by motorable roads to major destinations in North India through National Highway 534. This route is shorter than the Rishikesh/Devprayag route and quite scenic. Delhi-Modinagar-Meerut-Khatauli-Bijnor-Najibabad-Kotdwara-Dugadda-Satpuli-Seela/Banghat (Nayar Valley Retreat is located here)
Route-2: Delhi to Nayar Valley Retreat via Rishikesh/Devprayag ~315 kms. If your itinerary includes visiting the holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, you can take the route that runs through these two cities and Devprayag. Delhi-Modinagar-Meerut-Khatauli-Muzaffarnagar-Rourkee-Haridwar-Rishikesh-Devprayag-Vyasghat-Seela/Banghat ((Nayar Valley Retreat is located here)
Note: Khatauli is a good spot to break your journey for breakfast/Lunch, Cheetal Grand and McDonalds are located in Khatauli.
